Braxton Hicks vs. Labor Contractions

There’s actually a contraction that does not signify your labor. It’s called the Braxton Hicks contractions. So if you are having contractions but not sure which ones, here’s a quick explanation between the difference of Braxton Hicks and Labor Contractions.

Labor contractions will sweep along the bottom of your stomach, feel like a period cramp and they’ll get more and more painful as time goes on. Check out this blog where I detailed the most common questions of pregnant moms about labor contractions.

Braxton Hicks contractions feel like your stomach, especially across the top, is getting really hard.
If you’re getting a lot of this type of contractions make sure to drink enough. It might be a sign of dehydration.
